The DSHS Immunizations Section monitors vaccination coverage levels, vaccination administration trends and immunization practices and policies to inform and support data-driven vaccine initiatives.
Coverage levels and administration trends are derived from national data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state-wide surveys conducted in school and childcare facilities and statewide immunization databases. Data that is unavailable on this webpage can be requested through the data request form.

DSHS Program Data
Texas DSHS monitors data from the Texas Vaccine for Children (TVFC) and Adult Safety Net (ASN) programs. They also track immunization coverage data reported by Texas schools and the Texas Immunization Information System (ImmTrac2).
National Survey Data
Texas DSHS receives and uses data from the National Immunization Survey (NIS); these surveys collect information on national trends for flu vaccinations and vaccination rates for children, adolescents and adults.
